For anyone that values privacy of thought, this article is a real wake-up call. No, it won't happen tomorrow. It may not happen for 20+ years. But if the oligarchs and authoritarians see value in it, you can bet they'll do their best to make it happen, and make refusal to use it all but impossible.

If it existed before, it can exist again. After all, patriarchy hasn't done us much good for society as a whole.
