without the crushing doom of a deadline or running late 😅

ah love this! i may try it but fear that the imp in my brain will just compel me to turn the alarm off! this has always been an issue for me, but the last few years almost Everything has always been Happening So Much that i’ve lost all my old strategies for getting stuff done

you guys are never gonna believe this…

i’m gonna be so shocked and angry when i’m running late. no one could have predicted it. who could have stopped this chain of events? certainly not me.

everyone over there in us deserves any such better system, and not to be exploited by such an evil model of privatised healthcare.

sitting (admittedly in my privilege) as an outside observer just wishing for a better system for my friends (and all folks) in the us. partly this is about being in a small place, but i can almost guarantee a same day gp appointment, even if i phone up at midday. other systems work and work /better/

finished earlier in the year in time for the uk live shows!

existing amidst the dichotomy of privatised and socialised (ideal imo) models.

lmao half-hearted attempt at subtlety given small jurisdiction but yeah, it’s confusing and i did do social media shorthand at the expense of detailed accuracy. i agree it’s a lovely place though ☺️ that said, still think og point stands re effective if imperfect semi-socialised healthcare models

small place so i’m not gonna dox myself more than my bio already fully does (lol) and not gonna get technical about uk membership, but it’s not a mainland area
December 6, 2024 at 6:06 PM
i live in a part of the uk w no nhs, so primary care (gp, a&e, etc.) is user-pays and secondary care is free at point of use. obv not a perfect system for many reasons, but point being there are even functioning semi-socialised models if the big scary nhs isn’t baby-step enough. and yet. and yet.
