Which is essentially confirmed by the fact that he truly told himself he just “decided I wanted water”, when in fact we saw in his face that it was a reluctant decision that he was resigned to. The much larger implications here…
Eddie has DEF thought about being with Buck, but his history with women, sex, family, & religion conditions him from acknowledging it. Hence, picking up the juice first (joy/Buck) & replacing it with water (societal expectation/"beards"). He doesn't allow himself to think independently. #911onABC
