So what, we’re just supposed to remain silent when we don’t agree with the government or corporations, otherwise they’re justified in taking away our platforms? What’s your solution?

I mean like maybe it was so obvious as a warning to us? Like “hey this guy is gonna bring it back, but you all understand what that means so make a good decision”

Any thoughts/ news on anything coming for the LGBT community in the next few days? We all know these raids won’t stop with immigrants😬

I fear the point of it is to “detain” the “immigrants” to send them back to the same companies for an even lower daily wage (if any) a la prison labor

Certainly a great discussion to get into! Just because it’s the way it’s always been doesn’t mean it’s the best way for life now, and just because it’s new doesn’t mean it’s less reliable.

Certainly not all of them, but individual journalists like Aaron Parnas have been a great source with timely updates.

It’s also been easier to get short, digestible news updates from reporters like Rachel Maddow without sitting through a 30-60min program or waiting for it to air on TV

Personally, I followed a lot of individual journalists, allowing for that on the ground reporting instead of waiting for things to get produced and edited into to story the (billionaire owned) channels wanted to spin.

News media has always used videos and pictures from regular citizens anyway

This is the most aware of world news I’ve ever been and I’m honestly concerned about where I’ll find trustworthy news sources now

Thats so frustrating. I started my own out of network practice because I HATED telling people we had to stop working towards their goals because of insurance.

Then stay..? Once again, no one’s taking Meta away from you..

I was on TikTok to learn new things and be entertained. THAT’S the app they want to take away.

As a physical therapist, we were taught in school that we needed to write notes to justify care to insurance by making it “functional” with activities like walking and climbing stairs. Now they’re denying amputees new limbs because they don’t neeeeeed to walk🫠🫠

There’s PLENTY of examples like that.

I believe most of us are over there because the Meta IS censoring/ suppressing posts with view that go against Trumps, and people want a platform to post videos. But the good news is no ones making you join the app!

Yeahhhhhhh we’ve seen what the US companies do with data and we’ll risk it
