Sketch to final ❤️

The original sketch was done in 2019, but I didn't have the skills to complete it until years later! In the process I changed the character designs and the theme from spring to autumn 🍂
First sketch! The theme is spring tea. Two girls sit at a café table in front of green fields, blossoming trees, and pastel flowers. The girl on the left has long brown hair and is wearing a pink and white spring dress. The other girl has much longer blue-green hair and is wearing a blue shirt, white shorts, and a half-sleeve cardigan. Second sketch! A few years have passed and I have re-sketched the scene with an updated drawing style. The theme is now autumn café, and the scenery behind the café is now autumn-colored trees. The brown-haired girl is now wearing a turtleneck sweater with a red pinafore dress over it. The other girl now has green-tipped blonde hair in two long braids, and she is wearing a green outfit with a long-sleeved cardigan. Work in progress shot! Some lighting and shading has been established since the sketch, and shapes are getting refined. Final illustration! After several months of intermittently working on the piece, the trees in the mid ground have been repainted, and the entire piece is shaded and polished. The completed illustration features a treehouse-style café in the woods. It is autumn, and the trees are turning colors and leaves are falling. Two girls sit at a café table. On the left is a girl with brown hair and bunny ears, she is wearing a white turtleneck sweater and red pinafore dress. She is holding a cinnamon spiced latte.
