Gotta be honest, the tea about a self righteous eeddit moderator on christnas 2025, really reads like a modern version of "a christmas charol"
Dont know of present, past or future though 🤣

At the very least, the spear is a very easy playerless looting source:
A zombie holding a spear, targetting a villager, can hit any mob in the aoe.
More so, if a dog hitted the entity to kill moments before, it counts as a player kill

Counter point: Sony was already stablished as a console stapeholder. Valve isnt. Specially if like with the deck, it wont be available at retail stores. The general public still buys most of this stuff at in situ

Iterations of the damage of any weapon is meaningless.
The PvP and PvE systems have been broken for a long time. It doesnt make sense to tune 1 of the options, when the balanced is messed up to begin with.
From the view point of Mojang, its allocatong resources to waste.

I love, how you are making the debug options available for players without an adicional layer of a mod <3

Why fredt not, reminded me of a certain scene in dr House? Is it just me?
October 7, 2025 at 3:43 PM
Thats kinda guarantee that it will change in up most 2 years.
Its weird in Spain politics a goverment from the same party last this long, more so when polling gives a near guarantee oposition win in the next election.

2 years its an eternity in politics... but I think its a sealed prophecy

Maybe it seems like they atack faster, because you see them dive fast, but they dont dive near you very often, and because they are often encounteree in hordes of 3+ phantoms, which means you receive an atack more often, but from different phantoms
October 1, 2025 at 5:47 PM
At the speed of a baby zombie at most, then they slowly get back up to the zone above you.

So, I guess you talk about the damage they receive per the spear...
I dont think you would make nore damage to the phantom than to a baby zombie
October 1, 2025 at 5:45 PM
You are sort of wrong, phantoms are only fast when flying above you, to make sure they keep with your speed sprinting (but they arent as fast as a player with elytra not even close)

When they dive, they dive fast, up until 5 blocks afar from the player, at your height, and then they atack you

Im more focused ibto seeing that the copper golem path finding issues are WAI, not even WF.

Also the name of the update is a mistake. More than the copper age, its the copper page of an Ikea. :/

2 can be developped over 2 months, a new biome every 2 weeks.
And a structure over 2 months. If they started development in early october, the update could be finished by april.

In a sequel, there could dragon rework, and few hostile mobs added.

But only those 4 are undospensable
August 16, 2025 at 8:38 PM
In a year, there is enough time.

There are few indepensable changes, and those are the ones which would come.

-Some touch up to strongholds (a kind to ruin portal)

-4 biomes

- 3 palettes of blocks

- A new structure

1 and 3 can be developped in advance of beeing public snapshots.
August 16, 2025 at 8:38 PM
Mmm you could add it. And I would yotally be fine about It, as long as it can only fall when someone is underneath >:D

They metion recently that they even have done sone testing on increasing the view distance on java, but, for now, they still have work to do to improve performance
August 5, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Yeah, its just a funny cuincidence, maybe in 10 years we have coloured lights, but as they say, roght now they want to focus on improving performance, so when VV can release in vanilla, the can eat that gained performance, and the current hardaware can run VV like it now runs normal game
August 5, 2025 at 4:17 PM
Noup, on the discord for rendering, the have specially mentioned coloured lighting.

Before, it gave a more detailed explanati9n on why it is far from the scope of VV, but now just says "no" or "not planed for VV in java"

I for once cant say I was surprised by the news.

When a game takes 7 years to develop, and in between that many troubles happen, no matter the project, called a video game, a movie, whatever; nothing good will ever come lut of it.

I hope that vintage story, and the likes come out steonger though
June 23, 2025 at 9:32 PM
The common denominator seems that there was nobody at helm of the project.
Riot wanted something different from upper management, and upper management wanted something different from the developpers.

The lack of meaningfull updates, the partyre of Simon, delays, and the engine change...

The dark souls kind of tooling with limited durability is in my opinion the worst of the problems.
I would love that I could get umbreaking 5 in netherite pickaxes, and efficiency 10 in golden ones. And Id argue that neither extremes are OP in the current meta
June 21, 2025 at 7:39 AM
Netherite is the one with more durability, until you count the diamonds you use to duplicate the upgrade, and umbreaking and mensing are applied.

Say, why golden tools arent allowed to really be the fastest tools in the game? Why cant I make an umbreakeble netherite pickaxe?
June 21, 2025 at 7:39 AM
I think the enchantment system comes as a mess, because by this point in gaming, the tooling system is outdated.
It has arbitrary limits that makes redundancy the key word.
Say golden tools, they are the fastest tool, until you get efficiency, then is no faster than a diamond pickaxe and haste 2

I wont enter the debate, on whether they are higher quality or not, but comparing 1.21 proper with their drops, by the time the pale garden dropped in december, we got 3 new block palettes, and 2 redstone blocks. (Double the ammount of content).
Development is not linear, but the drop system aint it
June 19, 2025 at 11:48 PM
For each drop, they need a month just for packing up stuff, what was once in a year, where they expended at most a month and a half, has become a month for each drop.

And this stop its unavoidable, since bedrocks system needs to age rate the new feature beforehand. Meaning, everybody loses.
June 19, 2025 at 11:48 PM
After what I ve come to call a minecraft bussiness year, and the launch of 4 drops equivalent to a big update... I whole heartedly hope they _drop_ the drop system. I really hope the get back to the pre 1.20 development cicle. These quartly releases, makes development hault for a quarter of a year.
