What we are experiencing is an indictment of having a gerantocratic government who refuses to reform our election processes or engage substantively through legislation with the societal impacts of emerging technologies.
We are left with an easily hacked system, and now the virus has taken over.

The COVID pandemic was supposed to teach us to be more humane towards each other.
We did, for a brief moment, but then we went right back to our brutal, inhumane capitalistic ways. Trump isn't the answer, but he does represent destruction of the system - and that's what people want. But not his way.
