A bit sad, I learned that my family's putting the place I grew up in for sale.
I know that it's for the best.
I know that it wouldn't hold the same sentimental feeling with Grandma and Grandpa both gone, now.
It's just hard to let go of something so closely tied to my core and happy memories.

It brings me joy that I'm able to once again take on the role of being a big brother figure to two of my cousins.
Ever since our Grandma passed away last month, they've been a bit down and withdrawn.
I'd like to think thaylt I've been helping them, though.
One of them even calls me "Bestie".

My cousin's graduating from college in a week.
He's worked very hard, and it shows in his art.
He made a promise to his Grandma that he'd see it through and not drop out, and I'm sure that, if she were still here today, she'd be very proud of him, too.

Making sure the last of my stuff is packed before I move later on today.
Although there's been a few (very few, I might add.) good times while I've lived here, my time here's been mostly filled with sad memories, and I'll be glad to leave it behind for a new start with somewhere familiar.
