Woke up to my first snow. The streets have already melted off so I can make a run to the little town grocery. Very thankful fir my garage. Then home to bake a cake and prep sweet potatoes.

Terrible. This is one of the reasons my daughter was so ready to get out of Florida. The schools were purged of books just like this.

My kids and grandkids are taking me for an early birthday dinner. I picked a pretty place in downtown Rochester that serves great northern Italian food. Ellie and I had fun yesterday. She dressed up for our date. We went to the mall. She chose the bookstore. Then looked for a warm hoodie but no luck

There is a thing such as a lawyer who is too nice. My 2nd time, I got a Malinois. We dealt with my ex in record time. Cost more and I made payments forever but it was worth it.

It's a beautiful crisp day here. We went to pick up a big grocery store order and had lunch in town. Found a Natural Grocer which made me very happy. Took a short walk with Annie where she met one of her friends, so she's happy. I hope it stays this way for a few days.

Cake fixes many things. My favorite is German Chocolate so my mom made one from scratch every year. Since I'm alone this year, I'm making my own damn cake from scratch. The box cakes aren't good. Bakery cakes are regular chocolate not the light, sweet stuff.

My daughter is Dec 12 and my mom was Dec 17. My mom never got a birthday gift her whole childhood. So, she made sure that her granddaughter was fussed over. I made sure that daughter had everything her April sister had. I had a party for her before an Odessa Permian playoff game. That's a wild tale.
