Of course they don’t want to be measured by the amount the deficit is reduced. That would be a metric that is measurable and we certainly can’t have that.

I’ll give you 4 out of 6. He most certainly did not reduce the deficit . Since 2016, the deficit has grown by ~50% split almost evenly between Trump and Biden. He also did not increase mfg jobs off a pre covid base.

In those other countries doctors make ~60% of what they do in the U.S., pharmaceutical prices are ~33% of what they are here, malpractice lawsuits are almost nonexistent, etc.. I’m all for universal care as long as the cost side equation changes along with the coverage side.

If I lived in S. Carolina, I’d have zero faith in my Senators opposing anything that Trump wants. Neither one has much of a spine. At best, they may work behind the scenes to persuade Trump to withdraw the nominations.
