Just back from a trip to Tromsø with Polar Biology students! We explored Arctic resource management, went fishing in icy waters, snowshoed through snow-covered landscapes searching for animal tracks, and visited the Fram Centre to learn about polar research. So much more packed into this great trip.

Last week, a group of polar biology students and I traveled to the Wadden Sea to explore it’s role as a crucial stopover for Arctic-breeding migratory birds. While in the field, we encountered nice wildlife and searched for 10-million-year-old marine fossils! #WaddenSea #MigratoryBirds #PolarBiology

Last week, we had a productive workshop on Identifying Key Research Questions for #Arctic Freshwater Biodiversity at the University of Copenhagen with colleagues from 🇨🇦🇸🇪🇫🇮🇩🇰 and with co-funding from #IASC. Next step: writing a review paper!
