I saw another possible reason why these officials used Signal: to avoid Freedom Of Information Act rules.
I suspect they used Signal, which I also use, to communicate from their homes on their phones or laptops. Basically with unsecured devices and locations.
We'll see how deeply this is explored, but it highlights the lack of competency by our current Administration.

Advocating for or against guns is dependent on your region. A New Yorker's view will differ than a Juneau resident. How easily everyone else can have a gun certainly matters.

personal danger is that most will never be attacked. The balance is that an attack could be devastating or life-ending.
Then owning a gun is a serious responsibility which gun accidents and theft highlight the worst owners. A safety stat is only relevant if you are not responsible. 3/

It's very difficult to acquire a gun in tristate area, so there is a strong antigun culture which integrates with confrontational NYers. For a big city 1/
