I’m thrilled to report on work I led with Dr. Shawn Hervey-Jumper and Dr. Todd Hollon which shows that we can forecast where glioblastoma will recur even at time of initial resection.

It’s wonderful to see all the work I conducted during my research year @neurosurgucsf.bsky.social come together!

What an incredible month it has been completing my sub-I at @neurosurgucsf.bsky.social ! I learned so much, met so many incredible people, and I had a great time doing it. I am truly grateful to have had this opportunity. #Neurosurgery #Match2026

Heading to the airport to catch a plane to Allegheny for my first neurosurgery Sub-I. There are not enough words to express the gratitude that I have for my research year in the Hervey-Jumper lab. Incredible group, work and mentorship. Feeling blessed.

And to top it all off I was invited to present on behalf of an organization I helped to create, at a meeting on diversity and treating diverse patient populations. Incredibly grateful for the opportunities and it was truly an unforgettable time. #AANS2025

This year I got to present my research (which even won an award!). #AANS2025

My experience at #AANS2025 this past weekend was a stark contrast to my experience last year. My first national neurosurgery conference last year and I did not know anyone, I was not presenting any of my work, and I had no clue what to do with my time.

An exceptional neurosurgeon. A brilliant scientist. An incredibly kind person. And without a doubt a better mentor/teacher than I could have ever hoped for. It was truly a privilege to see Dr. Shawn Hervey-Jumper receive the Mitchell S. Berger, MD endowed professorship yesterday. Congrats!

Honored to have helped write this article about the importance of creating space for LGBTQIA+ individuals in neurosurgery. Creating space not only for my communities but also for all identities in neurosurgery is so important to me. 🏳️‍🌈🇵🇷
