People in my Mastodon feed would disagree that Bluesky is a beacon of free speech, since they’ve been banned for speech and had to move. As long as it is possible to ban for any reason, which is true of any centralized app including ones that *appear* decentralized, freedom of speech is an illusion.

As a developer, I abandoned my snap package when Canonical rejected an update I pushed. Going forward I will only consider Flatpak, which works on Ubuntu AND the weirdo distros that don’t have systemd.

Aero not only lived well into 2015 via Windows 7 but was slightly more pronounced by then compared to Vista. Apple, by comparison, is not “tinting” the glass at all! So it’s as unusable as it is dated!
