My absolutely favorite biblical adaptation, just because it completely captures the buck wild elements of the early chapters of Genesis, and still manages to ask real questions about what it means to actually act on faith.

Ha, those dice showed me that while I can read Roman numerals pretty well, the American school system has failed me with Carthaginian numerals.

Uh oh I can't do this one...

I love Twilight Struggle, but I am powerfully bad at it in the app. I think there's some kind of disconnect that is there without physical components.

Now it makes me wonder if 1) we're super intelligent or 2) playing something wrong. I don't think either though??

I dunno! We just win a fairly high percentage of the time!

It also assumes a level of competence than they simply never displayed.

The same is true of the Confederates in the US Civil War.

A 40K Advent Calendar would be amazing.

We had a great time! One guy at the table wasn't super-engaged (he was a new gamer) and they were not very focused on balancing the table. So they allowed me to kind of run away with it. But we still had a wonderful time, and I want to play again ASAP.

I was very young at the time, but my parents said the death of Jim Henson hit me pretty hard.

I'm dreading the day that Mel Brooks dies. I've come to really admire him, and even though I know he's ancient it would still feel like a loss.

No worries, it was a very thorough response to my thoughtless comment!

Yeah, boring people who hate joy might not be into it.

My one trip to San Diego, it was cold and rainy about half the time we were there.

I don't think I realized this was out of print, until I saw a copy at a local used store for like $80.

Oooh it had some alternate board didn’t it? I remember that now.

I’ve played the FFG version and I literally had no idea it even HAD expansion modules.

Feels like a lot of new Knizia reprints get expansions after like...twenty years of not having them, and precisely none of them generate any interest in fans of the game. I'm in favor of letting a game sit before it gets expanded, but there's a point where an expansion can only detract.
