Husband. Dad to three grown-up and very successful children. Electrical engineer for five decades. Singer for longer than that. Occasional guitar player. Staunch believer in DEMOCRACY and ready to do what I can to keep it!
He's in his room pouting because he didn't get one of those white cowboy hats in the Oval Office the other day.

Congrats! It took me a while but I no longer buy a notebook just because I like how it looks. (Glancing at my collection of notebooks I've had for years with nary a note inside.)

No doubt, scouting the roof for the best location for solar panels -- or for his death-ray machine that he had reverse engineered from old Saturday morning cartoons.

The infamous fence! I can’t recall much that was controversial being painted on it when I was there (1970 to 1974). I do remember on a wall near the tennis courts some anti-Mobil graffiti. They funded some research but also made napalm, so anti-war sentiment. I support the current message!

CMU alumnus here - 1974 - I am trying to tell where this is. I am guessing that it's taken from a sidewalk along Forbes looking towards - ummm - Warner Hall (the 'flashcube').

I bought a book with the title "Overcoming Procrastination" roughly 50 years ago. If I can find where it is I might finally read it.

Does that mean his name does NOT match what's on his birth certificate? I wonder what name he uses when he votes.

Thank you for all you do under these demanding circumstances. As an engineer I have deep respect for scientists in and it breaks my heart to see what this 'administration' is doing to our brightest scientists. And for what? Make some time to collapse into tears - it's truly cathartic.
