Associate Professor in Sports Biomechanics at the University of Lincoln 🇬🇧 Interested in human and animal movements, especially swings and paddle sports. A big fan of Japan.
Equally importantly, Bob was a wonderfully warm and generous person. Cambridge’s Austin Building was home to a fantastic cast of characters during Bob’s JEB tenure.

I share Muybridge and Marey’s work briefly with my students, but would love to explore the topic with them further (for the innovation, historical curiosity and images themselves). Muybridge’s story - from his acceptance of Leland Stanford’s challenge to his murder acquittal - spices up a session!
