That point kinda ignores the point that Bernie was short 536 delegates to win compared to 177 needed by Clinton at the start of the Convention. Bernie needed to win more than 75% of Superdelegates where Clinton only needed 25%. Clinton was up by 12.5% in primary elections too.

Given how close the election was in 2016, it is entirely possible that he would have won. It is also possible he could have lost. In either case, it would not impact the down ballot races.
