5/ Knowledge is power, but ethics is its compass. Reflecting on the past and learning from fiction like The West Wing or The Newsroom helps us face the challenges of the present. What do you think about those Shows? How do you think we can deal with misinformation effectively?

4/ These shows aren't just entertainment; they're reminders of what's at stake. Nostalgia for good politics encourages us to rethink, reread and revive the values that guide our decisions.

3/ Now, in this third decade, I've started watching "The Newsroom". Although launched in 2012, the show addresses issues that seem designed for our time: the ethics of journalism, the battle against disinformation, and the importance of protecting the truth.

2/ A decade later, while writing my master's thesis about "the Latino vote in the 2016 Primaries", I saw this full series again. It was a surreal experience: many of the policies I saw on screen had been implemented during the Obama administration, which made past and present intertwine.

5/Reflexionar sobre el pasado y aprender de ficciones como The West Wing o Newsroom nos ayuda a enfrentar los desafíos del presente con claridad. Que opinión tienen de estas series? Como abordamos la recuperación de la ética política y evitar la desinformación?

4/Estas series no son solo entretenimiento; son recordatorios de lo que está en juego. Entre la realidad y la ficción, la nostalgia de la buena política nos anima a repensar, releer y revivir los valores que guían nuestras decisiones.

3/Ahora, en esta tercera década, he comenzado a ver Newsroom. Aunque se lanzó en 2012, la serie aborda cuestiones que parecen diseñadas para nuestro tiempo: la ética del periodismo, la batalla contra la desinformación y la importancia de proteger la verdad.

2/ En la década siguiente, mientras escribía mi tesis de máster sobre la captación del voto latino en las Primarias de 2016, volví a ver la serie completa. Fue una experiencia surrealista, muchas de las políticas que veía en pantalla habían sido implementadas durante los gobiernos de Obama.

4/ Defending #democracy and #justice means facing this challenge with strategies of ethical communication, media education and, above all, with a renewed commitment to truth and the common welfare.

3/ In today's #elections fear based on false information is a determining factor. #Disinformation not only polarizes, but undermines trust in democratic institutions, favoring populist agendas that promise quick but dangerous solutions.

2/ As a political adviser with more than two decades of experience, I have seen how social media has transformed the electoral landscape. What were once ideological debates have turned into wars of narratives, often far from the truth.
