I'm not even sure what you're defending here. The Whitehouse lies, it's a news agency's job to parse those lies and give their readers context. Not just deliver word for word what the Trump tells them to.

Except they are wrong though. They literally released files on bill Clinton too. CBS absolutely doesn't have to thoughtlessly push the white house narrative.
