Frankly, that doesn't surprise me at all. Rosanne Barr and Mel Gibson were speaking for around 60 million voters when they opined "Daddy's Home". Those voters want a can of authoritarian whoop ass opened on people who they think are breaking the social contract.

I guarantee you they are going to round up homeless people, many of whom have mental health issues, and lock them up somewhere in Florida. DC will be the test run.

None of that would have mattered. The country wanted something done about immigration, we wouldn’t do it and so they hired a crew of thugs and authoritarians who would. Right now they are looking for an excuse to grab emergency powers.

The voters wanted to break the two party system because it has become corrupt and was no longer serving them - which is true. However, I don’t think this is what they had in mind to replace it. The midterms will tell us one way or another.

Humans are awful, just admit it. We will drive ourselves to extinction at some point through our unwillingness to solve problems because it just isn't cost effective or profitable enough.

Absolutely. I find myself checking less and less, it's just an unending steam of reshares. This is exactly why we've lost the executive, congress, and judicial branches and the country is turning into a dictatorship. Still not going to X, though. Or Facebook. I'll just read news at AP and carry on.
