My favorite part of playing with fiber is to scour, dye & then blend different types and colors of it into pretty, fluffy batts before spinning it into yarn. This is all now being knitted together into a sparkly hat - and maybe also matching mittens. #knitting #spinning #seekjoy

In honor of Indigenous Peoples Day, I am listening to An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States by Roxanne Dunbar-Ortiz. If true history was taught in our schools, this would be required reading. Strong recommend.

Found the antenna! It's bent and there are dangling wires, but the reception is perfect. I can hook this up once a week to join the #Dateline fam and see what the all the fuss is about. Tonight will be my very first episode ever.

He looks so much more relaxed now, and dare I say younger, than he did while serving - even with the silver hair. I love that for him.

It's been POURING down rain since last night. We really needed it. I decided to test my new tent and make sure it's watertight. We listened to the rain fall and the birds singing, and fell asleep for awhile. Dry and cozy. No biopsy results for him yet. Hopeful.

This sweet boy had 2 suspicious masses removed today. After losing my other boy at only 21 months to a very aggressive cancer, I do not fuck with wait and watch, or with fine needle aspiration. My vet let me be with him (because I always insist) and he was very, very good. Results in a week. 🙏

A pretty Bell for tonight's homemade pizza. At least the MFing groundhog doesn't like peppers - but he has still managed to break & kill several plants w/his fat ass. The leafless vines behind the peppers were previously nourishing what was going to be a bountiful sweet potato harvest. 🤬 #gardening
