Darned things are frolicking in our Tennessee yard and garden, and this was never in their natural range. The damage they can do is pretty bad, but thank goodness we’ve been treating for the grubs they feed on. Wish they’d frolick further south!

yep, early european settlers describe the forests of the americans as having been clear of undergrowth and almost reminiscent of english parks. this was due to the stewardship of many native tribes. because rather than just rely on chance, they cultivated plants and conditions that benefitted them.
