Is there a name for the phenomena where you say "I don't do X for Y reason and people shouldn't do it" then someone does X, and they say "Sorry but I had to do it" [they didn't have to do it]?

I believe Jay Medeiros [CA] cheated against me at Milwaukee regional in round 3.
I've heard that he got DQ'd in round 9 of the same tournament (first round day 2) so this is just my experience playing against him.

Have there been any good pieces or book chapters written about LLM-based "tools" being used by students in graduate school and how that impacts their learning/further work? I have my own personal experience around this, but curious to see if anybody else has thoughts on how it plays out long term.
