1/2 2 yrs ago I moved to a small town in MI. I didn't know my neighbors' politics until the election. That's when I found out that all the Dems were people I was already friendly with from walking around and chatting in the neighborhood.

If you care about religious freedom even a little bit, you should be challenging policies that allow the feds to raid houses of worship.

I appreciated this psychoanalytical framework for overcoming the political divide in the US because it acknowledges that both parties have a role to play. There must be a mutual interest in repair. #braverangels #buildingbridges

Day 1

I'm a loyal NYT subscriber but skip the front sections in favor of art and lifestyle pieces. All year, their news coverage felt like reading about two sides rooting for their favorite team. I never wanted to hear about the polls or who likes who and why. Talk to me about the issues! With substance!

Just waiting for this guy to get nominated to head up the National Institutes of Health.

Like many anxious folks, I'm calmest in a crisis and I'm intentionally avoiding sources that might stoke my deepest fears. With that caveat, I found this op-ed insightful and poignant. "None of us know the direction or velocity of our vulnerability."
