And this is why they can get away with it. Their products are now too embedded into our lives.
Glad I never bought into the Apple universe but am still on Facebook (though downsizing). Google is the most embedded though..

I agree. Unfortunately, we all gave them this power for our convenience. That includes me.

It is mentioned in Dutch newspapers 2 days ago but I haven't seen it in amy American/international ones (yet)
