This quilt “My Brother’s Car” was my attempt to mimic the reflections and appearance of chrome without using any reflective fabrics. You can see my brother reflected in the bumper.

I enjoyed making this one a few years ago, and have plans to do another elephant project this year. This one is called “The Elephant in the Room” and is about 48”wide by 36” high. It was derived from a photo of a young African elephant by Deb Simon.

One of my favorite quilts. This collaged art quilt is made using a photo reference (in this case by John Slot) which is reproduced into a collage of different fabrics and sewn together by machine. I teach this!
