The trains are magnificent. And I am always amazed by the speed with which major roads are repaired when needed. Not to mention my favourite Andalucian saying ‘Siempre solución’.

I had the shocking experience only last night of heading to Urgencias, being seen by a doctor within 10 minutes, and taking a presciption to the on duty farmacia - where I had to pay a shocking 45 cents for the privilege of collecting the medication! Appalling Spanish barbarity!

I can only repeat what a flight attendant said to a profoundly stupid USA citizen claiming her right ‘under the constitution’ to smoke on an aircraft on the ground. ‘Madam, you are on an Australian aircraft in a Canadian airport. Your rights under your constitution are irrelevant.’
