I looooove a runaway game, but man, Yikes, New Zealand. Zero shots on goal because Zero shot attempts in the first half. Hardly had any possession of the ball and pretty much never saw the other side of the field.

Chicago stars FC taking care of a massive bit of player contract news. The club announced today that they’ve re-signed defender Sam Saab to a multi year contract through 2029. Next season was a contract year for Staab. One less piece to worry about for the offseason.

They began an installation of a new field turf in May so it’ll at least be an updated pitch? Not sure if there’s a difference between turf and IronTirf other than name? Would also love more clarity. Agree views are off the charts

In a press conference back in May, GM Richard Feuz mentioned future traits in the next head coach, he echoed similarly in the club's announcement today, though I'm bummed "a tremendous human being," didn't make the remixed cut.

Club executives have been transparent about rebuilding methodically. It's very much giving 5 5-year plan since 2024, and that's fine except they are going into year 3 of that plan in 2026. Which is also a final contract year for multiple players (Staab, Kuikka) and season 3 of Swanson's 4 yr deal.
