Yeah neither are you, and I don't need a vigilante to swoop in and tell ppl not to add context, but like do you have an issue with what was said? Cause you're welcome to just say that too like this is an open discussion.

I literally did ask... And appreciate the further clarification cause this term is truly foreign to me.
July 26, 2025 at 2:39 AM
I don't think we're understanding each other and that's fine but I'm losing steam for this convo,

Assigned is implied. There's isn't much investigation on whether an infant checks every box in either category b4 the doctor picks one and it becomes a primary citizen identifier

I have no idea what any of this response has to do with the discussion, to clarify I'm exclusively talking about sex as an adjective, an identity; not at all as a verb or activity.
July 24, 2025 at 3:02 PM
It's largely because of all the harm that comes to intersex, NB, Black women tbh anyone who's features naturally deviate from societies constructs of M/F, because of this inane allegiance to the concept of binary sex, that I care about having this discussion, the consequence of obfuscation is abuse.
July 24, 2025 at 3:00 PM
Sex is assigned by a doctor and recorded as the gov. requires it. The guidelines that determine M/F/I are constructs. This construct pressures doctor's to sexually traumatize children 2 transform their sex characteristics to align M/F w/o their consent, & pressures parents 2 allow it.

I think some of the communication break down between us is a result of disagreeing on what words mean.
July 24, 2025 at 2:47 PM
I also don't think your analogy about legs is relevant. I never suggested that intersex people were not human, nor some other species which evolved from humans.
July 24, 2025 at 2:34 PM
Idk if it's different where you are from, but on the United States' birth certificates the word "Gender" is nowhere to be found, but they do document your assigned sex. That's what I'm referring to when I say assigned sex. Is your birth certificate different?
July 24, 2025 at 2:32 PM
Ok I understand your point a lot better now, I agree that what ppl do socially is inconsequential to assigned sex. Though that culture around respective sex & gender influences how scientists define sex. The guidelines for male and female are not in accordance with how entropic life naturally is.
July 24, 2025 at 12:32 PM
Ok but I'm really more interested in understanding orthogonal in your context, would u mind explaining that?
July 24, 2025 at 11:53 AM
And media consumption wasn't tailored personally to match everyone's interests based on years or decades of data collected on your online activity.
July 24, 2025 at 10:46 AM
Exactly. "Except for the ppl who are intersex, who is intersex?" Is how the Q sounds 2 me.

And I resent the idea that a whole population of individuals who don't align with every binary sex characteristic is negligible bc it's small. Should you have a right to vote even if ur only 1 person?
July 24, 2025 at 10:34 AM
I appreciate you asking nicely, but I'm really not that invested in changing your mind. If you want to believe in binary sex you're allowed to. If you're interested in making use of the device u posted that response w to peruse years worth of media dedicated to answering your question, be my guest.
July 24, 2025 at 3:40 AM
Just learning the word orthogonal but don't understand in this context, could you explain?

The view of sex as 'objectively' binary is a human invention. Variation in sex presentation is natural across all species, imposing a dichotomy is unnatural. Identify how you want tho, keep your peace.
July 23, 2025 at 6:39 PM
That's insane
July 21, 2025 at 11:55 AM
Also, far from radical I would say having two options for Male and Female is squarely so traditional. But everyone's personal Overton window is unique I'm sure.
July 21, 2025 at 11:53 AM
See this is what makes designing experiments and data collection interesting! I personally find questioning assigned sex boring. But you learn the most about a group when you leave questions open ended. Maybe an open ended survey would best answer your question: how many boxes to be comprehensive.
July 21, 2025 at 11:49 AM
My main point is we keep blaming ppl who are doing what they can to survive and rightfully angry. Understandably unwell. The problems within the MTA don't disappear w houseless ppl, they disappear w proper track maintenance, investments in infrastructure, that's the real pipe dream w all this greed
July 21, 2025 at 1:29 AM
If the city was more responsible free transportation wouldn't be something we deny ourselves for fear of being in proximity to our houseless community members. Stop pretending that wanting a free fair is equivalent to proposing the MTA as public housing. The future is only as bright as you dream it.
