#PotatoLab was just what I needed for a weekend watch. The FL has her own backstory & our hero is stoic & meticulous. But it’s funny & the lab colleagues are a disparate, eccentric bunch. The return of #KangTaeOh is the cherry on the cake.

Started #TheBestThing because the setting & actors appealed. #ZhangLinghe in modern setting is a rare thing. Nice cinematography with a format reminding me of #Houlang. That & the TCM setting. Soothing tone so far. Also, if ZLH can’t bring a frisson to TCM setting, nothing else will!

#GuardiansOfTheDafeng was that #Cdrama that started all cute & intriguing. Left me devastated in the climax. I am in awe at #WangHedi for doing such a good job. Great ensemble cast too. They brought the heart.

A comedy of manners, cdrama version has everything to appeal to my Janeite heart. The third & fifth sister arc look promising. Although I feel the eldest sister’s will be lovely.

Yes, the costuming is lovely. I come back to The Long Ballad because I had a major fetish of Wu Lei’s character in long loose hair at the time of drama airing. I was so disappointed when his character started wearing Tang dynasty type clothing.

Not unusual for the ML to turned all white haired after a particularly harrowing or challenging time. Sometimes but less often the FL. Sometimes it’s their best look.
I did enjoy the early part of the drama especially.
