I feel like it is an important piece of literature and I am very glad I read it, but I can’t say I enjoyed the experience 🤣. It took all my concentration to follow.

I have a few different books going at a time. I use the Libby App (library so free) for audiobooks and kindle books. I read physical books in the evening before going to sleep. Typically, I have a nonfiction history, a nonfiction self improvement and fiction book club book.

I hate living in a world where something like this makes me sob. It’s not the money, it’s her grace and gratitude. I don’t like the ‘testing’, but I can be grateful for the resources getting to a person whose life will be changed.

While I totally agree with the evolution of humans and the scientific advancements science can make and my benefits because of those scientists…. I tend to say ‘doesn’t change my day to day existence’. I think this answer is just as valid as ‘I don’t know/care’ or ‘magical god’. The poll is flawed.

They absolutely have the right to ask independent counsel for legal advice when they are unsure without fear of retaliation.

It is not your job or responsibility to hand hold assholes. I am yt and unfortunately it is my job and my responsibility to call out, call attention to, and hold them accountable to better behavior. BIPOC people need to be free to just live their best lives without personal or systemic oppression.

Cognitive Dissonance is the psychological discomfort experienced when a person holds two or more conflicting beliefs, or values, esp when the newer belief/value contradict their actions. This internal conflict often causes people to ignore or disregard the new information to ease their discomfort.

The first two are valid reasons for her not to be included in anyone’s medical decisions except her own. She has no business being considered.

However, the last three are complete red herrings and have no medical or professional bearing on her qualifications. They confuse and dilute the argument.
