Yellow Warbler in Cherry Blossoms.
This is a lino reduction print where you carve a layer, print, carve more, repeat. There is nothing left to the lino block when you reach the final highlights.

Eastern Bluejay.
I tried many variations to get the splash of blue just right. I adore ultramarine blue.
My art can be found at Backstreet Gallery in Florence, Oregon. They can ship art!

Yellow Warbler in flight.
This also uses the technique of carving a splash of drybrushed paint for the yellow. I liked the hint of ochre where typically the bird would have red. I created my own warbler, lol!

A Goldfinch in flight.
The art challenge was "a splash of color." I took a dry brush of paint & carved the outline of that splash of color to make the yellow highlight. It was fun to create so I made two other birds in this style.

"Marigold Monarch", my first lino reduction print. I've learned so much since this, yet this one is always so striking to me.
Each color is printed separately, and any error would ruin the edition. I love the challenge and discipline of this art form!
