Big Giant Redhead. Laughter and empathy > fear and hatred.

Love New Mexico, mountains, art, critters, gardening, science, football, classical music & my funny wonderful family.

I loathe the orange felon & his sycophants.
Having a bit of a lazy day here. Cold & windy doesn't inspire me to walk.

Lyla is excited as today is the first day of play rehearsal. Glad she enjoys it.

The sun has been playing games with the clouds this morning and it's been very entertaining.

Just got back from beautiful walk - perfect morning here.

Woke up early to scroll and drink coffee in the dark. Skies to the west were weird - looked like early sunrise in the wrong direction. Was just ABQ lights reflecting off a large cloud hovering over the city.

Happy Halloween to all my ghouls and goblins out there. Up helping the girls with their makeup at 6:30 am. School dance was cancelled. Boo. Trunk & trick-or-treating with the girls this evening.

Here's a favorite pic from a family Halloween a few years ago.

Mornin'. I totally relate to having a back that dictates how much floor cleaning you're allowed in one setting. 🙄

We had a great time at the party next door and I finally got to meet their kittens. Here the girls are making marshmallow towers. Also, someone got her first pointe shoes!

I stumbled on this while getting ready for our trip to England last spring. My state is 1.29 UK's. Yet the population of the UK is 69 million - 34 times New Mexico's population of 2 million.

Looks like we're all getting the same bits of rain. Unusual in a state this big. We weren't expecting it so when we heard the first rumble of thunder we thought it might be an explosion. (They do that at Sandia from time to time.) 🙄

Yesterday Herman thought he could catch a raven. Dream big Herman!

In honor of Samhain I will wear my sugar skull tee, light my scent warmer, eat an extra pumpkin cookie and walk briskly through the chilly autumn air.

My photo memories for yesterday brought back a gorgeous walk at the Nature Center in the bosque. Here's one of my favorite pics from that day.

We got to the Tijeras rally about 45 minutes early to find parking and there were already people milling around. We lined historic 66 and enjoyed lots of honking and waves. We had a blast. The wind was the only bummer. I was OK in shirtsleeves but never thought to bring earmuffs.

Oh I love these! 😍

Have you seen the Dia de los Muertos Barbie & Ken dolls?

Just got done with the Annual Scrubbing of the Geranium Pots. Our temp dropped to 31 degrees out in the field this morning so it's time to bring them inside for the winter.

Herman helped. (Not really) But he was exhausted when I was finally finished.

I stole it from whoever this nice lady was at the June march.

Unpacking from our little CO adventure. Nice visit with family and it didn't start raining until we were a mile from home. Foggy days are here again.

The young cats love being out again after their long weekend in the garage.

There's a No Kings march in Tijeras! Working on my sign for Saturday.

My granddaughter's shirt finally arrived. She loves it! Thanks for the image.

If you blow up this pic she looks like the monster under your bed.

Aw, looks like our girl Jenny. (This is actually her evil face. In real life she's little and cute.)

Huge turn out for the concert. We were a half hour early and still had to park up by the fire station and walk to the school. The chorus was outstanding. Over 100 kids in it this year!

Foggy again today as was yesterday. Eerie waiting in the dark for the bus. Cloud map all day yesterday: 🫤
