CHRISTIANITY – Matthew 7:12 says, “So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”

These sacred teachings remind us that love, respect, & kindness are values that transcend religious boundaries, fostering unity and mutual understanding.

JAINISM - The Acaranga Sutra states, "One should treat all creatures in the world as one would like to be treated."

SIKHISM - Guru Arjan Dev, a revered Sikh Guru, proclaimed, "Don't create enmity with anyone as God is within everyone."

BUDDHISM - In the Udanavarga, a Buddhist text, it is written, "Hurt not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful."

CONFUCIANISM - Confucius taught, "Do not impose on others what you do not wish for yourself."

ISLAM – Hadith 13 says, “None of you will believe until you love for your brother what you love for yourself.”

HINDUISM - The Mahābhārata states, "This is the sum of duty: Do not do to others what would cause pain if done to you." (5, 1517)

Consider these teachings from various faiths:

JUDAISM - Leviticus 19:18 says, "You shall not take vengeance or bear a grudge against any of your people, but you shall love your neighbor as yourself: I am the LORD.”

In moments like these, I urge us all to pause and reflect on the foundational teaching, “Love your neighbor as yourself,” a guiding principle found in religious traditions worldwide.

This Golden Rule encourages us to treat others with the same respect and kindness we desire for ourselves.
