Please do not say "The US is moving toward taking over Greenland" or anything like that. "Trump is moving toward that" would be correct. Unfortunately in the regime in place right now he controls the military. We of the US are not the military and we definitely are not Trump.

Manner of expression counts: We need a concerted effort to replace "The USA stated (or reported or decided or whatever)... with "Trump stated (or reported or decided or whatever)... " In other words, make sure Trump's actions are not identified as the people of USA's actions. They aren't.

In the same way that judges give some brakes on domestic matters that Trump attempts to change, on the international scene there must be judges to rein in control of Trump. Those judges are the leaders of other nations and the sanctions they can impose for Trump breaking international law.
