I was wondering about that, what is the rule if he fumbles and the eagles get possession but don't return the fumble for a TD. Obviously if that happens they get the TD, so it was still smart to tackle him, but does that end the game even if the Eagles get the ball back?

I don't understand that. Tank to accomplish what? To build up a farm system that you haven't shown any ability to translate into major league talent in the past? It feels like the FG meme - Buxton is Buxton, but the mystery box could be anything! It could even be a Buxton!

It's almost like playing a guy at center who has no experience playing center and didn't practice it during the preseason resulted in miscommunication and people not knowing what to do. Maybe the Vikes should consider playing someone at center who plays center.

Actually, the one time it would've made sense to take one, he threw the ball away. A minute before half at in the Eagles game, about midfield, and he throws the ball way out of bounds on 3rd down when taking time off the clock or forcing a TO would've been the right call.

Nothing like punting the ball on 4th and short and giving up a long TD drive. I.... I think I'm starting to hate O'Connell. I know it's an overreaction, but I hate so much of what he is this year.

Because it feels like he's doing everything he can to confirm that he shouldn't be starting at center. Maybe start him at tackle instead of Skule? Just a crazy thought, starting a tackle at tackl

If JJ is honestly not healthy, that's one thing, but it feels like KoC is making an arbitrary rule about a full week's healthy practice and using that to make a poor decision. I hate it here.

Like, I get it if you had priors on him and didn't like him coming out of college - I doubted Ponder from the moment he was drafted, and he never did enough to move me off that feeling. I was a doomer on him from the start. But otherwise, what the hell are we doing?

Really to give up on JJ after two games was always stupid, but it is even more baffling to me a year after the Sam Darnold breakout, which is continuing this year, while hearing Baker Mayfield MVP chants, and while Daniel Jones is lighting it up. I expected more of my fellow Vikings fans.
