I like stuff, games, anime, food and cooking, plants and gardening, movies and tv, etc.

PhD in Mathematics (number theory), not in academia, thankfully. Day job as a software engineer: Linux, C++, Python.
Right there with you, 2-3 cups of green tea throughout the day, then a cup of chamomile tea each night. Can't stop. Won't stop.

Clueless is so good. We did something similar a while back, watched a bunch of 90s/00s movies.

My unsolicited top suggestions:

Growing up in the rural Midwest, his films were what helped me find all of my of weirdo friends. An incalculable loss.

Also, his iPhone PSA is one for the ages.

RIP

This is a great point! I also tend to go for straight, flush, or full house during the first couple hands, using all my discards if necessary, but try to shift to two-pair as early as possible, unless I get some amazing joker early.

Losing out on $$ early can tank an otherwise salvageable run.

Fuck yeah, been years since I've been to a LAN party.

I thought the same thing too because the first time I saw one was in a Sepctral Pack, which gives a -1 hand size. I assumed they all did that.

Those pair really nicely together. Throw in Card Sharp on top of that, and a polychrome joker or two and you're all set for an 8-ante run!

Once you win one run, you'll be unstoppable. The first is really the hardest!

Balance chips and mults as much as possible. Focus on two-pair, and buy planet cards. Prioritize jokers that scale over conditional ones. Reorder your jokers so that x-mults are last. Buy boss reroll ability if available.
