I'm a father.

There is no world in which I would ever consider a middle age man paying a fifteen-year old for sexual favours anything but a heinous and illegal act of depravity.

No it's, no buts.

You didn't miss much

She's also a brilliant character actress and an all-round good egg. One if my favourite people on the planet!

The streets were safer for who?

Football hooligans running riot on Saturdays, the skinheads, the bikers, the Yorkshire Ripper, the NF, SPG and IRA, Grunwick on the telly.

Knuckle dusters, razors and bike chains. Blood on the disco floor.

That's how I remember being a teenager in the 70s

Unfortunately you also have Nick Robinson, Laura Kuenssberg, Chris Mason, Fiona Bruce, and all the other suck-ups to Tories and Reform.
November 13, 2025 at 4:32 PM
I disagree.

Everyone knows that X is an instrument of right wing bias.

Yet a lot of people mistakenly believe that the BBC is an independent broadcaster rather than the unofficial Tory and Reform supporters' club.

The BBC is therefore the more dangerous, insidious RW propaganda tool.

I haven't seen him walk on water yet but he certainly has more disciples than the other fella

I think he's called Paper Clip, used to work for Microsoft?
November 13, 2025 at 11:28 AM
I didn't know any of this, he has just gone up several notches in my estimation

First time I have ever seen a politician getting "down with the youth" (if that is what they say!) without looking like a total twat.

Green wave incoming

Over the next 4 years a lot more young people will become eligible to vote and a lot of brexity gammony Reform voters will be leaving us physically or mentally.

Things CAN only get better.
November 12, 2025 at 6:13 PM
The managed decline that began in the Thatcher years, the privatisation of key industries, and the impacts of brexit have combined to create the economic problems facing Wales.

Reform are Tories on steroids with English nationalism thrown in.

So sad that they have any support at all in Wales.
November 12, 2025 at 6:05 PM
Exactly this. And the idea of anyone in Wales voting for that vile English nationalist Farage fills me with dread.

As a Londoner I find the flags a very useful indicator of which provincial areas to steer clear of. ,

As a Welshman I regard the English flag as a symbol of oppression.

As a European I miss the days when we could all proudly own the ,🇪🇺

Keir Starmer and Yvette Cooper both claim to.

Not really, I still feel shame at the havoc I wrought for members of my family. I just don't understand why gambling is legal when it is just as harmful as drug-use which is criminalised.
November 11, 2025 at 8:37 PM
Thanks, I haven't had a bet for 30 years so I think so!
November 11, 2025 at 8:28 PM
I was a gambling addict when bookies were shitholes with no slot machines or even live TV. An addict will endure every discomfort and ignore all advice to get their fix.

Bookmaking is legalised crime.
November 11, 2025 at 7:26 PM
As a reformed (or perhaps I should say recovering as I am only 30 years in) gambling addict I can truly say that there is no such thing as a gambling "game."

Gambling destroys lives. We should be banning the bookies let alone taxing the fuckers.
November 11, 2025 at 7:22 PM
Both of mine are. So am I.

No idea where it all wentvwrong, might have been she sight of people sleeping rough and babies having their limbs blown off.
