Saw a #ringbilledgull in Stockholm yesterday, bang in the middle of the city! There are only 14 or so records of this North American vagrant and it attracted quite the paparazzi! It was chilling with the other gulls, searching for food from humans, and harassing nearby pigeons. #gulls #birds

Heard my first pied flycatcher of the year in Finland—its song was so different from the ones I heard last week in Catalonia. Turns out they really do sing differently across regions—and they learn it socially! Found out in (Rajan et al., 2024) doi.org/10.1016/j.cu...
