Once you accept that American politics at the national level are just hosed for the foreseeable future, you not only develop an inner peace but also a focus on state/local issues where the needs are greatest and where you can actually make a difference.

I know the road ahead will be arduous, complicated, conflicting, and painful, but I share in the hope felt today for a prosperous and free Syria.
