You eat that pizza, and y'know what, I roll my eyes all the time at "only in New York" because that's never true. But this moment, this hyper-specific instant? Only in fucking New York...

and you just got a $1 slice of pizza. There's a roaring river of fellow drunkards from every imaginable life, every alternate reality's main character flowing around you; you're like the stone the river bends around. Yellow cabs flow by like it's 1999...

Sweet! Best way to get in touch is email me a few relevant samples and either a pitch or two or some statement as to what you'd like to explore covering that's a fit for Ars Technica's audience. You can find my work email on this page: arstechnica.com/author/samue...

Hi Emily! The samples I see on your Muckrack page are focused on indies or Nintendo. I think we're only interested in stuff that hearkens back to meaty PC gaming of the 80s/90s in some way; Baldur's Gate, space sims, etc. If you have samples in that area, let me know.

Hi! I had to dig a bit on your Kotaku author page to find suitable samples but some of your Baldur's Gate 3 stuff was maybe a fit. If you're interested in doing features on PC games like that, feel free to email me pitches at the email address found on my author page: arstechnica.com/author/samue...

Hi James! Always excited to seek out ways to bring OSS dev voices to Ars. If you have ideas and some of your old samples, shoot them to me at my work email found here: arstechnica.com/author/samue... Thanks!

Hi Timothy, unfortunately we're not interested in commissioning pieces on Nintendo or console games. If you have deep experience and samples on the PC/desktop side, let me know.

Hi Simon! This sounds really interesting. I've gotten a lot of interest on the gaming side but could really use some voices on software dev, so I'm interested. Send me some samples and a pitch or two at my work email found here: arstechnica.com/author/samue... Thanks!
