Thanks. It’s awful regardless, but I’d rather it be a precautionary lockdown related to the Farragut shooting than a simultaneous but separate incident.

Where apparently two National Guardsmen were shot?

Any idea if this is related to the shooting around Farragut Square?

No idea if it vibes with your wants/needs, but we used a florist for rented greenery decor instead of cut flowers. It looked lovely and was $750 in 2019. (FWIW, we also used sola wood bouquets, gave our moms bracelets instead of corsages, and the men wore lapel pins instead of boutonnières.)

memes and violence and racism and antisemitism all meld together in the acidic stew a ton of young men dip their heads in daily online, and that shit can cook your brain fast

It is wild to think that brain rot will be part of the primary sources of this era of history.

I’ll never get my head around taking a picture where Kash Patel looks like he’s utterly bewildered by the concept of a camera
and going, “Yes! This is the headshot!”

There have been horrific videos from Gaza, absolutely, but they haven’t been getting heavily pushed on mainstream news and social media the way this video has. People who aren’t used to (or actively trying to avoid) graphic content are getting blindsided by exposure to this instance.

Respectfully, I don’t need to watch this specific video to know what’s happening in the world and rising in the US, but I understand where you’re coming from. I made a follow-up comment saying that I think people who live in a bubble perhaps do need to see it.

(And I don’t believe hardly anyone on this site lives in such a bubble, to be clear.)

Although I wonder if there should be a caveat that — if you live in a bubble of cognitive dissonance in which gun violence doesn’t rip lives and bodies apart in this nation — maybe you should? I truly don’t know if that would make a difference. But sometimes I wonder.

I’ve heard the locals prefer tavern Pizzaballa

I don’t think they see women as having any value unless they’re birthing and raising children. So older women dying probably isn’t a problem in their book.

What the fuck does this guy think designers were doing before Figma was released in 2016?
