Unfortunately in many cases Entity Framework. Since many project participants no longer know the basics of SQL and are therefore disqualified for Dapper.

Much better, at least in terms of maintenance and readability.
But I think that's just a matter of taste.

That is ridiculous. Don't get me wrong, I really like the “switch expressions” language feature, but the example shown goes a bit too far for me.

It goes against everything I care about in terms of readability and maintainability.
