This was an interesting position. He played Rad1 losing a pawn, but turned out it was the best move. The engine doesn't like f3! I think because the D pawn can get a lot of pressure. The eval is already -1.0 here.

This week, another near perfect game! Kept playing top moves and eventually went into the end game a pawn up.

Last week, my first bad game. Blundered a pawn rushing a move, trying to pressure my low-on-time opp.
He got so low, he couldn't see a way through with opposite bishops (it wasn't that hard though) so got a 3-fold repetition. 6.5/7 points.

I forget how crazy the stuff my kids come up with is. Luca just came up with this sequence - convert decimal digits of a number to binary then whole thing back to decimal - on his own. Wasn't surprised to see it was already in the #oeis. Couldve got one more in before he turns 6!

5th game of the season another easy win. 5/5. My pummelling last season has made this one a bit too easy. Sadly the 5 wins don't even pull back the point loss from 1 loss last season, as I was provisional. Maybe by the end of the season I can gain 150 points or so and get to 1600

4/4 now - not worth showing the whole game, my opp blundered the below. Beating generally lower rated players but still, an improvement on last season where I came back from an 8 year break and ended up on 1450, 250 points lower than the rating I previously had.

3/3 wins this season now, beat a 1550 last night. Couple of nice tactics in the game. Went into the Portuguese Gambit but he didn't know 5. g4, the "Correspondence Refutation" #chesspunks #chess

Props to Hans Niemann, Endgame is a good site already for playing chess. Very similar to Lichess, but that's not a bad thing. All over ICC already. Plus the ratings system on ICC is messed up. My blitz is down to 800 there (and still dropping), around 1600 on Endgame.
