Please enjoy this festive photo of my dogs in front of a backdrop that I randomly found in my town. I hope they help you recuperate. They always do me.

So that’s how he plans to pay for his ballroom

This is how it worked for me!

Can you just… get it while in England?
July 13, 2025 at 2:37 AM
Yes! And it’s been really fun with these new leagues. They feel really welcoming. Sometimes long-time leagues feel hard to learn the lore and even feel like there are gatekeepers trying to keep new fans out.

Oh yeah! I definitely forgot about that one. I always wanted to like sports before, and loved watching the Olympics, but I have only recently realized that what I wanted was to just watch Women’s sports and these new leagues are making it so easy to watch and enjoy.

Maureen. Try Women’s sports. If you’re thinking soccer, there’s the NWSL. They are playing now. My two other recs are up-and coming-pro leagues, AUSL Softball which streams games free on mlb.com, and (my fav) the PWHL (which is hockey). NY has a hockey team, the Sirens. You might start there.

The older I get, the more and more I understand the sitcom moms and dads of the 90s/early 2000s

Happy to help! There’s too much doom and gloom in the world for me to be doom and gloom about hockey

And I’m hoping it gives Montreal and opportunity to find some depth on their bench. You never know when the right person can cause a spark. And I think it’s in their 3rd and 4th lines that they need it.

I’m also tentatively excited about Seattle. That Knight/Carpenter/Schroeder combo sounds nice. But we’ll see.
June 17, 2025 at 12:46 AM
Yes. Also, as a person who’s first, second, and then third teams all ended up losing this past year, I’m excited to see how things shake out and I intend to follow the teams who end up with my favorite players.

Are they? I hadn’t heard that. But, honestly, not shocked either. She was hit or miss all season.

What a time to be alive!

Jalapeños. If not actual slices, then juice in the cheese.
May 8, 2025 at 1:51 AM
Oof. That’s rough. 😳
May 8, 2025 at 12:48 AM
I Love when they play Montreal and she gets booed the whole game.
May 8, 2025 at 12:44 AM
Totally agreed. They are the bottom for me too. I am a new fan this year tho, and didn’t know about the Zumwinkle/Spooner incident. The fact that they hired Curl was plenty for me.
May 8, 2025 at 12:42 AM
Yup. Frost are the closest team to me, but I cannot bring myself to be their fan wholly because of Curl
May 8, 2025 at 12:35 AM
I second this! I’m also a Sirens fan, but Montreal is my very close second favorite!
April 27, 2025 at 5:07 PM
Yes. Prick feels more severe. And dick feels like something you could use playfully with people you like.

Oh for fucks sake… I knew I was missing all kinds of news with the focus on these tariffs. I wonder what else has been falling through the cracks.
April 11, 2025 at 5:37 AM
Oh weird. I hadn’t heard that at all, but like… I’m to the point where literally nothing will surprise me anymore. Iran seems actually less on the crazy side of what I could believe it to be

Today, a friend was telling me about all the military helicopters that they have seen recently all around KC. She was also unsettled by them.
