At first that drove me nuts, until I realized that the show existed in a dream logic state. Also: what decade does it take place? There are late 2000’s cell phones but everyone wears 80’s power suits and had decor from the early 90’s. Its amazing.

I briefly had a job working in VR, and I remember thinking when I did for the first time “this is the future—in five years we’ll all spend half our time using this amazing technology.” Then I lost the job and never put in a VR headset again and never had a desire to. 🤷‍♀️
