I've always felt like talent is just the one-two punch of being slightly obsessed with a process and perseverence. Like there might be Some grain of natural talent, but I don't think it's as big a deal as people make it.

My experience learning about Columbus was very like ok school taught that he was super great but they did it in the most boring way. Then Addams Family Values shone a light on how effed up colonization was, so when years later I learned he was a horrifying person I was like "huh. yeah that tracks."

I've always been interested in them because of their relationship to reading people (in the social sense). Cold reading is such an interesting skill, on one hand I wanna be better at it but on the other it seems mostly used for conning people. I'm just a nosy bitch, I don't wanna fleece anyone.

every thing you say makes this sound more and more unhinged. when i was in college our biggest design secret was to tell the college you want the bunk bed and put a desk under it. When we finally got out of the dorms it was "i hope you like futons cuz it's that or a mattress on the floor"

I much prefer the tiny doll blind boxes, but even then I'll only buy them if I like all the options. (Without fail if I don't like All the options I'll get my least favorite. sometimes this is how I find out I had a least favorite.)

Adorable kitties as always! Have you tried goo-gone? It's my go-to for tape gunk. Sometimes you gotta leave it on a while to soften it up but it usually works for me.

I've had to move with my cats quite a few times now and it always sucks. They do calm down quickly when you are in the new place with old familar items though. Hide for a day or two, then explore a bit, then they own it.

lol, more like.. turning my hobby into a job makes it stop being fun. tried that with sewing, won't do it again if i can avoid it! But thank you, it IS still fun lol.
