I mean, there's no loyalty there either way. Hasn't been for decades & shouldn't be. We went through this in the 90s, 00s, 10s... You can look at this as "OMG, companies will lay you off at the drop of a hat" (true) or "Periodic deadwood cleanup, now I've got a clear field to grow in." (also true)

What I got:
- The layoffs disproportionately impact white-collar professionals.
- Mid-career professionals (often 30s–50s) in management layers
- Longer-tenured employees in legacy functions
- Overwhelmingly highly educated, office-based, mid-to-senior white-collar professionals
