Work very hard on the thumbnail and whatever gets seen in the promotional sections of Kickstarter. Pay extra for a good piece of art if you need it. One that looks good at small size AND tells everyone with one image what they're getting.

I didn't quite follow the rules of the game, but it's a thoroughly great theme for a story. Somewhat like, but also entirely unlike, Company of Wolves.

I'd gently push back on this. For some that's true. For others, the painting art style and music by Sea Power make it DE, and you could have those things in the new game.
